Laptop won't work with WiFi?

Hello,
I have a Hp pavilion with Windows 10 and it has been running slow for a while now. I didn't use it for a couple weeks and just now booted it up but it won't connect properly to the WiFi. It says 'connected, no internet'. I doubt it's a problem with the WiFi since I am connected on my phone and my tablet, and my brother is connected on his laptop and they are all working fine. Before this it wasn't working 100% either because it would only let me load certain pages? And if I left it for a while and went back to it, I would be able to browse the Internet fine for about 20 minutes and then it would go slow again? I'm currently running a full scan in case it's a virus, but I don't know much about computers so I thought i'd ask here to see if anyone could help me, as it's probably got a really obvious solution. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, this is the first time I've ever asked a question on a forum like this.
